[An excursion? Well, far be it from Themis to deny Erich anything reasonable - or unreasonable, truthfully - but this is a simple ask. One he'll do so gladly.]
Of course. It is quite the enjoyable spot, peaceful and easy to relax within.
[He's tempted to speak more, but Erich seems on edge. Surely that's why he seeks the spot, to bask in its calm. They can bask together.
Reaching out, he takes hold of Erichthonios's hands and transports them to the location. Thanks to his careful magic and wards, it remains neat, tidy, and untouched.
Letting go, he turns away to take in their surroundings with a soft smile. Filling his lungs with the fresh air feels fantastic. He'd been at his desk overlong.]
[ This is second nature to him now, as he lets Themis transport them. He too takes a deep breath... and Themis of course asks such an innocent question. He swallows, reaching into his pocket and squeezing the object within. ]
Ah. Well. No... not yet. I uh. Hmm. Well, I was thinking about a lot of things, but none of them seemed right. So I'm going to do this my own way.
[ A pregnant silence before he finally turns to Themis, taking his hands, he places the small object in them. ]
[All thought is snuffed out within his mind. Two opposing feelings begin to war within, that great ocean of his being responding instantly - all he is begins to thrash in disbelief, wild, twisting tempests raging in the depths. His currents all thrown into disarray at once. Yet despite that tumultuous feeling, the other is that of placid calm. Of peace. Of warm nights spent next to the man in front of him. The one he had lost so long ago and was given this second chance by some miracle of fate.
None of this reads on Themis's face. Instead, those heavy-lidded eyes have blown wide with shock, his lips parted slightly, frozen in expression.
A victor is not decided within himself, instead, the opposing sides find a balance, harmonizing into nothing short of pure elation.
Carefully, oh, so carefully, he grasps the ring with his fingers, though no doubt if he is being given this, it will withstand far more than what his hands may do to it. In the past he had asked Erichthonios for permission each step of the way, so conscious of never taking away the other man's decisions. But now, it is obvious what he wants. What they both want. Expression still frozen he slips it onto his finger - a perfect fit.
Only now does that joy begin to shine free.
And shine it does, radiantly. The brightest smile Erich would have ever seen breaks over Themis's face, his skin flushing with the force of it. All thoughts of holding anything back flee with the bubbling up of laughter and he all but leaps into the other man's space, pulling Erich into the fiercest of hugs and kissing him. There is so much that he feels, he hardly knows how to respond, but knows that he must. Pulling back, he wipes his face upon his shoulder - tears, yes, but of joy and joy alone - and cups Erich's face, pressing their foreheads together in the most tender of touches.]
Yes, yes, always! You shall never rid me as long as you exist.
[Husband... oh, how he loves the sound of that, new as it is.]
[ He watches, holding his breath as Themis takes the ring. Delicately as he does. He knows the answer already. He thinks he does, anyways. But still. He can't help how he is. Only when the ring slips onto his finger at last. Only as Themis practically pounces on him, showering him in joy and affection, does Erich allow his own relief and joy to show as well.
Picking Themis up and spinning him around before pressing himself right back against the other man. Yes.
Yes. He will. Erich can't keep the laugh from his voice, the expulsion of some nervous energy in place of relief and elation. ]
That's the idea.
I made the ring myself... no help. My own creation magic. I wish I could say it didn't take me days on end to get it right but... it was worth it.
The result is worth every bit of effort, and I would have it no other way. Have you no other way.
[Themis takes a moment to look at it, appreciating the details, the subtle intricacies - deceptively simple.]
It is beautiful.
[His mind spins. There had been knowledge that this would happen, yes, but knowing that it would and experiencing the actual event are proving to be two extremely different experiences.]
Who do you wish to officiate? Shall we make this public? Or smaller, including only those close to us. There are so many paths laid before us, but only one may we walk - unless, of course, you wish to explore others at later dates. Anniversaries, perhaps?
[They have the rest of forever, after all.
Themis can't help but jump around with subjects, mind running at a breakneck pace. It pauses, however, when he looks into Erich's eyes once more, focus narrowing down only to the man in front of him.]
I must confess, in my heart and soul I consider us married in full right at this moment. I...have not crafted a ring for you, however. Would you like to assist in my design, or leave it up to my discretion?
You can ask for more, and I encourage you to do so. The first suggestion I shall make is that you choose how I dress for the wedding - I wish to indulge you on that day. In every way.
[Dimitri would be a good chose, though, if a king is not enough...]
Why not joint officiants? Dimitri shall serve as King in his own right, and I believe Byleth is at the head of a major religion of his world. Between the two of them, there shall be some legitimacy. Enough that none would argue else-wise.
[In their hearts they'd be married anyway, and that's all they would need. The bonding of their souls would be more than enough evidence.]
I shall craft it with more care than anything I have created - barring, perhaps, the crystal I once gifted you. That, you have my word. It will be my hope that you bear it with pride, and that I may be proud to have you seen wearing it.
The nature of this place means that even should we invite all inhabitants, it shall remain a relatively small function. Though...
[His voice grows slightly concerned.]
It is my nature to be incredibly social, and as such I have made many friends here. Would you find discomfort should I invite them all? It would be, I admit, much of the populace.
Oh--- how you dress? Oh gosh. I mean... perhaps- I suppose. Something flowing. Something that reminds me of your true form. I don't know. You look good in everything.
[ He looks even better in nothing at all. ]
That works then. I cannot imagine legitimacy really matters a great deal here, but for the decorum.
You can invite however many people and whomever you desire, Themis. All that matters to me is that you are there, I am happy to share the celebration of our union with everyone
I would want nothing less than for you to be completely authentic.
It would not be incredibly difficult to craft something similar to my attire in that form. Color would be welcome, I think, as 'white' is my usual dress - that, and it will remind me more of you to bear such things. Something of mine, and something golden, perhaps silver, of yours.
[To wear something so would be a symbol of their union. Irrevocably so. Not that either of them need it, but Themis privately enjoys the idea to show that connection off.]
My only request is that, in some manner, you bear the crystal I gifted you some time ago. I...admit that when I did so, it was in a way a proposal of mine own - that you would bear my mark, always, in a place others may see.
[He's not embarrassed of it. Not now. Let everyone see that he belongs to Erich.
But now he mulls over the rest of it.]
It is legitimate the moment we speak of it - by all rights, we could be considered married as of this moment. I was yours the moment our eyes first met, after all.
[It's cheeky, and he knows how Erich will respond to that remark, so he continues.]
We are shared in our desires. I would have you as your truest self, and I will do no less. That, you have my word on. Let all present here see us, see our bond.
[He places a reverent kiss on the ring upon his finger, before leaning up to tenderly kiss Erich. It does not linger overmuch - but he had to express the welling warmth in his breast.]
[ Themis has a way of being so dreadfully earnest and raw in these moments. It's actually incredible, how he bears his heart so willingly. Erich knows he trusts Themis just the same though. He strokes that soft white hair again. ]
Of course. I can barely stand to part with it as is. It will be a permanent fixture on my person as long as I have any say.
[ He returns the kiss, melting into it for those brief seconds. ]
You're so cheeky sometimes.
[ A smilem belatedly commenting on the idea of being linked in that very moment they met. But did that not seal their fate? Meeting the way that they did? Did that not set into motion every event that followed? Up to this very moment.
[Action]
Action!
The thought scatters as he's greeted with Erich's presence, and any confusion falls away in place of bright joy.]
Oh! Hello, my dearest love. What brings your knock to our door?

Can you... would you accompany me to the place you took me when I first arrived here, please?

Ah. Well. No... not yet. I uh. Hmm. Well, I was thinking about a lot of things, but none of them seemed right. So I'm going to do this my own way.

[ Ahhh but there are details, and as much as he'd like to drift in this blissful reverie, he has to answer. ]
I'm not sure- maybe ah. Maybe Dimitri? He's a king so, I think he can do that.
[ As if Erich knows anything about how a monarchy really works. ]
I'm not a big-functions kind of person, but I want to invite all of our friends.
As for the ring... I'll leave it up to you. I like surprises, and I know whatever you choose, it will be the perfect thing.

Though, I am only as cheeky as you allow me to be. You enjoy it when I am, and so I shall continue.
[Themis finds himself so incredibly happy that he has to just bask in it for a time. Just here. Him and Erich.
A thought occurs to him.]
...Is there a mark of yours you wish me to bear?
